Damn Cholo will think twice before shitting on my patch from now on.
See ya around, partner. Phil, what's going on? I'm just resting my eyes. So, what's going on? Them Cholos are gonna blow up my liquor.
There's so much of it at the warehouse, one match'll blow it all the way to Tennessee. Tennessee, here I come Let's deal with it. The thing is, Vicky boy, my daddy was an angry man. He never, ever told me I was special. In fact, he used to beat me. Especially when he caught me staring at my cousin or my sister. You know what he said to me? He said I'd be better off dead And how, exactly, is this helping?
The tragedy of it is, I'm just like him. I deserve to die. It should have been me instead of Zack on Hillman. I'm coming hooome, Daddy! I could have sworn I locked this place up. The thing is, you work for Phil. And Phil - Phil works for me. Which makes you my bitch's bitch. In Vice City, he is the Big Bad of the game. After his admissions about setting up Tommy, and of course Tommy killing him. Losing money or valuable things. Towards the end, when Tommy tries to rip him off and kills all of the Mafia "taxmen", he gets enraged. Over the course of the game, Sonny grows increasingly impatient and angry as Tommy builds his own empire instead of getting Sonny's money and drugs back.
It gets to a point where he sics Mafia "taxmen" down to Vice City to take a cut of Tommy's business, and when that fails, shows up personally to kill Tommy. And then it turns out he was behind the Harwood ambush that cost Tommy 15 years of his life. Deadpan Snarker Diabolical Mastermind: Or at least that's how he styles himself. He can certainly be cordial enough, though he purposely drops the act to hurl out torrents of rage and abuse when he feels the need to intimidate Tommy.
Like Tony Montana did with Sosa, Tommy worked for Sonny until he crossed him, pissing Sonny off something fierce and prompting him to try and have Tommy killed. Though unlike Sosa, Sonny tried to have Tommy killed long ago, while he was presumably still loyal.
His obsession with getting his money back from Tommy ends up getting him killed. Nice Job Fixing It, Villain! Sonny originally sent Tommy away so he wouldn't hurt the business and cause Sonny to lose influence. No Honor Among Thieves: Sonny only cares about money. Keeps blaming Tommy for all their losses in the intro, no matter how much progress he makes in killing — you know — the real culprit and then — you know — reclaiming everything.
Eventually, Tommy calls Sonny out on this, then decides to just keep everything for himself out of spite. And Sonny eventually being implied to be the Greater-Scope Villain behind this whole mess certainly doesn't help, either.
He never gives Tommy any respect despite how capable he is in business and killing. And pays with his life. You would think that he'd be a little more careful about going after a guy who killed at least 11 guys in order to escape getting killed himself, and who survived at least two big firefights and probably more without serious injury. Kent Paul Voiced by: Danny Dyer Paul is a cocky youth from Kent, England.
He works in the music business, but claims to be a criminal mastermind. He is also Vice City's informant. He returns in San Andreas. San Andreas Bunny-Ears Lawyer: He comes off as a loser who's constantly drinking and fails to attract girls while doing so, but he does manage to give some valuable information and job opportunities to Tommy.
Is this in Vice City. His interactions with Tommy Vercetti usually end up with Vercetti beating up Paul to extract information. Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Has become this in his appearance in San Andreas. Claims to be one, but has a lack of criminal record to prove this. This guy sure likes to talk. His falling out with Big Mitch Baker. To Maccer and also to Rosenberg. Victor Vance Voiced by: He becomes the main protagonist in Vice City Stories.
Vice City Stories Abusive Parents: Vic's mother, Janet, is a crackhead who neglected him and his siblings, which eventually led to them living with their aunt. After only two years of working in Central America, Vic speaks with a thick spanish accent in Vice City. Victor starts out as probably the most heroic of all III-continuity protagonists. He sure doesn't end that way.
Martinez lampshades it early on. Wow, did anyone ever tell you you got a really dumb name? He first appeared in the opening of Vice City. In the prequel, Vice City Stories, he is the main protagonist. A bald man who can kick a lot of ass. In Vice City, he has a bald spot. Bald, Black Leader Guy: He's bald, Dominican and the leader of a gang that controls the entire city by the end. He's so serious it's hilarious. In his brief appearance in Vice City, he seems much more jovial, however.
He's especially this towards Lance. One of the first plot points in Vice City is that Lance is looking to avenge his death. In Vice City, he was balding and hunchbacked, with a thick Hispanic accent. The level-headed responsible sibling to Lance's coked-up foolish sibling.
From Camouflage to Criminal: Vic was drummed out of the Army due to trumped up charges by his CO, he has since turned to crime to support himself and his family. He's half Dominican, and was targeted by the White Stallionz, a white supremacist biker gang due to this. He constantly says he wants nothing to do with drugs despite the fact that he builds drug empires. After Louise's death, he goes all-out in his pursuit of revenge. He's probably the least villainous protagonist of GTA series.
A first for the series - whereas other protagonists commit crimes because they're good at it, Vic does so because he was forced to by his Commanding Officer, and later because he was kicked out of the Army and needs money for his sick brother.
Knight Templar Big Brother: His motivation throuhgout the game is earning money for his sick younger brother, Pete. Oh, and also keeping Lance alive. When he feels like it. Like Father, Like Son: Vic, like his father, joined the army to support the family.
According to Vic, their father had few oppurtunities after leaving the Dominican Republic, and had to join the army to support his family. He and Lance really don't get along with their crackhead mother, Janet. It helps that she didn't even raise them, instead leaving it to their aunt, Enid.
He has a very thin one in Vice City Stories. He has a full one in Vice City. A lot of comments are made about Vic's height, and he is admittedly a bit shorter than several characters.
After getting kicked out of the army, Vic is virtually broke, and only has a place to stay because he helped Phil Cassidy clear out Phil's old place of gang members. At the end of the game, Vic is the leader of a massive criminal empire with countless operations all over Vice City, not to mention some pretty sweet living spaces.
Vic was kicked out of the army after Martinez' drugs were found stashed under Vic's bed, and because he was caught with a hooker Martinez ordered him to hire. Vic obtains a lot of classy suits over the course of the game, all of them are brightly colored pastel suits, naturally. To Martinez's corpse in the final mission. With Louise, Phil's younger sister. Avertedsince Vic was in the military, and as such got training in aviation, marksmanship and hand-to-hand combat, which explains why he is so good at said things.
He starts out working with his friend Vinnie to leave Liberty City, and retire from mob life, however, when Vinnie is apparently killed, Mike is pulled back in. He works for several criminal sources to find out the truth behind Vinnie's death. Vinnie is eventualy revealed to have faked his death in order to not only escape the criminal life alone but also leave with Mike's half of the money. Due to lack of character development, he is alot like Claude.
I Owe You My Life: He makes another job with Martinez, who instructs him to get his girl Mary from a party. He goes to Phil's place and he provides him with the sports car. Vic arrives at the party, beats up several thugs and rescues the girl. He gets her back to the base, but a Master Sergeant confronts him about a pack of marijuana which Martinez planted under his bed, and he also confronts him about the girl, who reveals herself to be a prostitute.
As a result, he is dishonorably discharged from the Army and charged with high treason. Now on the streets, he gets a call from Phil, who gives him his old place to stay. He also does several missions with him, usually confronting Cholos.
Later, he meets Marty Jay Williams, who is Phil's brother-in-law. Marty is the leader of a small organisation known as the Trailer Park Mafia, known for being involved in racketeering, loan sharking, and prostitution.
Vic does various missions with Marty, often protecting his business. Marty often abuses his wife Louise, who has a child with him. Louise develops a relationship with Vic, which angers Marty.
One day, Louise is beaten up badly and kidnapped by Marty, and Vic is able to track down and kill the latter. He picks him up from the Escobar International Airport, but they are ambushed by Cholos.
They manage to escape. Using a pinata resembling a rudely gesturing Robina, Vic destroys the Cholo's business, eliminating them from Vice City. Meanwhile, Lance has connected with local drug dealer Bryan Forbes. After several deals, they find out that Forbes is actually an undercover Drug Enforcement Administration DEA agent, and he runs away with their money.
They catch him and lock him in an old slum building, where they force him to expose drug deals around the town. He misleads them into various traps, even leading them to a gay bar.
They return only to discover Forbes attempting to escape their captivity. Vic chases him and kills him. After this, they locate and steal a major drug shipment, unaware that the drug shipment belongs to the Mendez brothers, Armando Yul Vazquez and Diego. Soon, they are kidnapped by them. Lance lies to them that Martinez stole the coke shipment, and that he is actually a DEA agent who wants evidence to arrest them.
They take photos of Martinez with a DEA agent, and they copy the Forbes files with Martinez's file, which describes Martinez as an agent. They do several jobs for the Mendez brothers, who connect them to Reni Wassulmaier Barbara Rosenblata transsexual film director. Reni gives Vic several jobs to work, and he also helps Reni's manager, Barry Mickelthwaite Timothy Spallto get Phil Collins himself on his concert unharmed from the Forelli mobsters, to whom Barry owes money.
The Mendez brothers are not pleased with this, and they betray them, saying that Martinez exposed them off, and if they give all of their businesses to them, they will let them go alive. They refuse this offer, and they are knocked out.
